The collection was donated by Lester E. Hintz. It is comprised of fliers and correspondence relating to Class of 1931 reunions and events sponsored by the Northeastern University Alumni Club of Connecticut. Of special note are the alumni club's history and membership directories, and notes of the Class of 1931. Also included are a commencement program from the 1928 New Haven College commencement (formerly a division of Northeastern University), dance cards from the Northeastern University chapter of the Gamma Phi Kappa fraternity and the 1930 Junior Promenade, and material from the 1931 Senior Week activities.

Lester E. Hintz graduated from the Business Administration program at Northeastern University in 1931. While attending Northeastern, he was a member of the Gamma Phi Kappa fraternity and was one of the star players on the fraternity's basketball team. After graduation he married his college sweetheart, Marion Shumway, and returned to his home state of Connecticut to work as an accountant.
